The Judge’s Lodging is a Grade I listed Georgian townhouse, ideally situated in the heart of the city. With its characterful rooms, fantastic food and atmospheric bar, it’s the ideal place to stay when exploring York.
Each room is individually decorated. Contemporary Terrace Rooms are tucked away behind the main house and are complete with private front door opening onto a small terrace. Character Rooms boast traditional features and beautiful views over the surrounding area.

No trip to York is complete without a visit to the nearby York Minster - easily one of the world’s most spectacular cathedrals. The city is also home to 10 acres of botanical gardens at The Yorkshire Museum. Look out for the 950-year-old ruins of St Mary’s Abbey as you wander the grounds and stroll down to the River Ouse.
If you fancy a spot of retail therapy, the famous cobbled streets of the Shambles boast a variety of shops, pubs, bars and restaurants.

All ages welcome.Travel cots and Z-beds can be provided on request, subject to availability. Well behaved dogs are welcome in the bar, but are not permitted in the dining areas. Only guide dogs are permitted in the rooms.
There is one accessible guest room with separate entrance and private parking space. The Cellar Bar and downstairs areas are fully accessible. Please note that there is no onsite parking. Judges Lodges recommend parking at Marygate Carpark.
