In the heart of the New Forest National Park sits The Balmer Lawn. The classic Country House Hotel was built in the mid-1800s and is home to three acres of gardens, an extensive range of leisure facilities and a fantastic 2AA Rosette restaurant.
54 individually designed rooms, some decorated in a traditional style and others with a contemporary twist. Front facing and balcony rooms have beautiful views over the cricket lawn towards the New Forest. Three rooms are suitable for disabled guests.
On the doorstep and nearby
Make the most of the outdoors by walking, cycling or horseriding through the New Forest, looking out for owls, otters and wolves as you go.
If you have time, be sure to visit The Needles - three distinctive stacks of chalk rising 30m out of the sea on the western point of the Isle of White. Whilst you’re there, look out for the multi-coloured sand cliffs at Alum Bay.
Worth staying in for ...
It has to be an afternoon swim followed by a meal at the award-winning restaurant - you’ll be spoilt for choice with the fantastic menu.
